Catherine McAulay 09.02.02 21

Catherine McAuley was born in Ireland in 1778 September 29th. Her full name was Catherine Elizabeth McAuley. She built a home for the poor on Bogget St. Catherine McAuley was five when her dad died. She started the sisters of mercy so she could provide compassionate assistance to the poor and sink.

She has been to 30 different countries with the sisters of mercy and helped with schools. Her siblings were not catholic like there mum but Catherine followed her dad, he was catholic. She went to France to learn how to teach bigger groups of kids. She was a teen when her mum died. She died in November 1841 and then she became a saint.
